Good Win for the Dodgers

The game was scoreless going into the seventh inning, and then the Dodgers exploded for six runs. Andruw Jones, Jeff Kent, and Gary Bennett homered. For the first time in a long while, the Dodgers received a great starting pitching performance plus good offense. Chad Billingsley went into the eighth inning.

Blake DeWitt, who has been doing great, couldn't play because he has a strained back. Russell Martin had to play third base. At least, Dodger fans found out that Bennett can hit. I think the Dodgers will call up Andy LaRoche tomorrow. Joe Torre dislikes using both of his catchers in the game at the same time. Torre has said that the Dodgers need a utility infielder. I agree with him. I miss the versatility of Ramon Martinez.
