Juan Pierre is hurt
Juan Pierre is hurt. He will not make the trip to Houston. Although he doesn't hit for power, he is vital for the Dodgers' offense. He hurt his leg. Because his legs are what makes him valuable, I think he will miss a long while. Tomorrow Rafael Furcal, Nomar Garciaparra, and Andruw Jones start a rehabilitation assignment. This week the you Dodgers believe Brad Penny and Hiroki Kuroda will return to the rotation.

Stults Is Awesome
Eric Stults pitched a complete game. Since he has been up, he has been great, not only pitching. He can hit. When Brad Penny and Hirodi Kuroda come back, the Dodgers shouldn't send Stults back.
Today the Dodgers put Scott Proctor on the disabled list.

Another Shutout
For the second straight game, the Dodgers were shutout. No team can win when they can't score!
Today the Dodgers and their fans learned Rafael Furcal has a bulging disc. Although the Dodgers think he might be back in July, I won't hold my breath. He might have played his last game this year and for the Dodgers. Jason Schmidt has met a setback. His shoulder is sore, so the Dodgers have stopped him from rehabilitating at the minor league level for the time being. Nomar Garciaparra might be back on June 25th.
The Dodgers aren't getting help from their injured players unless Garciaparra comes back on fire. I feel Ned Colletti must make a trade to get more offense, or the Dodgers will have a forgettable season. This team simply can't score. Tonight Derek Lowe was awesome and got the loss. This isn't fair or right. This year Lowe is pitching for another contract with the Dodgers. The Dodgers need him, but they won't re-sign him if he has a losing record.

Chin-Lung Hu Down and Andy LaRoche Up
Today the Dodgers made the move that I have been expecting for weeks. They sent Chin-Lung Hu down to Triple-A and promoted Andy LaRoche. Although Hu was the Dodger minor leaguer of the year in 2007, he has proved that he sn't ready for the major leagues offensively. Many times this year he has looked lost at the plate.
Andy LaRoche might not be a offensive powerhouse, but he will do better than Hu hopefully. He can play first and third. I think Joe Torre wants to rest James Loney sometimes. LaRoche will give him this opportunity.

Again No Offense
While Brad Penny used too many pitches in six innings, he gave the Dodgers a quality start, but he didn't win. When the Dodgers could score only one run, they wouldn't win many games. Although Jason Marquis is a good pitcher, he isn't outstanding. The Dodgers should have scored more.

Two Games in a Row
Against a very good Chicago Cubs team, the Dodgers have won two straight games. Today they had great pitching, great defense, and timely hitting. Both Russell Martin and Matt Kemp homered.
I think the Dodgers are beginning to put things together. I know sometimes during the rest of the season, they will look like a struggling team, but I know the Dodgers are the best team in the National League Western Division. The Dodgers have played well at Dodger Stadium while struggling on the road.
The next road trip I think the Dodgers should be able to win some games.

Explanation
I know I haven't posted anything lately. People must think I am a fair weather Dodger fan, but this isn't true. I am out of town. I will be moving this year, and we are looking for a place to live. I will be living nearer to where the Dodgers play. I'm sick of living in Central Time Zone where most of Dodger games start at nine o'clock for me. I will live in the Mountain Time Zone, and it will be easier for me.
As everyone knows, the Dodgers have struggled. They can't score. I am frustrated! I want Rafael Furcal back so badly. I feel he will make the difference. I feel the Dodgers need a true power hitter.
I know the Jonathan Broxton and Takashi Saito have struggled, but I feel they need more work. When the Dodgers don't win, they don't pitch.
